Sensex up 27pts

The Sensex continues to move in the same narrow range of 40-odd points (11,560-11,600). The index is now up 27 points at 11,599.

Hindalco and Larsen & Toubro have gained 2% each at Rs 176 and Rs 2,396, respectively.

Ranbaxy, SBI, Gujarat Ambuja and HLL have moved up nearly 1.5% each to Rs 395, Rs 916, Rs 115 and Rs 240, respectively.

Cipla has slipped 2% to Rs 242. HDFC has dropped 1.5% to Rs 1,260.

Out of 2,466 stocks traded so far, 1,423 have advanced, 968 have declined and 75 are unchanged.
