Sensex up 27pts; Tata Steel, Rel Comm slip

The Sensex is now up 27 points of 12,393.

NTPC has surged 2.7% to Rs 133. HDFC has advanced 2% to Rs 1,419.

Maruti and Dr.Reddy's have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 954 and Rs 716, respectively.

ACC, Ranbaxy, Tata Motors, Wipro and Bharti Aritel are up around 1% each at Rs 992, Rs 425, Rs 912, Rs 521 and Rs 468, respectively.

HLL has dropped 1.5% to Rs 240. Tata Steel has slipped 1.3% to Rs 520.

Reliance Communications and Larsen & Toubro are down 1% each at Rs 344 and Rs 1,280, respectively.

Out of 2,551 stocks traded so far, 1,453 have advanced, 1,024 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
