The Sensex continues to move sideways and is now up 285 points at 13,875.
Realty and Metal indices have turned out to be the major gainers with both gaining 4.5% each to 3,464 and 10,248, respectively.
Sterlite has rallied 7% to Rs 576. Reliance Infrastructure and DLF hav gained 5.5% each at Rs 1,188 and Rs 356 respectively.
HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, ONGC, Jaiprakash Associates, SBI, Ranbaxy, HDFC, Tata Steel, Grasim, hindalco, Larsen & Toubro, Mahindra & Mahindra and TCS have added 2-4% each.
ITC has slipped 2% to Rs 180 while NTPC has declined 1% to Rs 199.
The breadth continues to be extremely positive - out of 2,631 stocks traded, 2,135 have advanced while 454 have declined.
