Sensex up 287pts; SBI slips 1%

The Sensex is now up 287 points at 13,468.

ICICI Bank has soared over 4% to Rs 866. NTPC has surged nearly 4% to Rs 145.

Gujarat Ambuja, Cipla and Reliance Energy have advanced over 3% each to Rs 139, Rs 246 and Rs 531, respectively.

Satyam, Reliance Communications, HDFC and HLL are up nearly 3% each to Rs 461, Rs 445, Rs 1,540 and Rs 225, respectively.

SBI has slipped 1% to Rs 1,215.

Out of 2,569 stocks traded so far, 2,021 have moved up, 487 have declined and 61 are unchanged.
