Sensex up 28pts; breadth -ve

The Sensex is now up 28 points at 14,216.

Reliance Communications has surged 2.5% to Rs 458. Bharti Airtel has moved up nearly 2% to Rs 821.

Larsen & Toubro and TCS have rallied 1.7% each to Rs 1,685 and Rs 1,307, respectively.

Wipro, Reliance, Tata Steel and ITC have advanced over 1% each to Rs 677, Rs 1,423, Rs 460 and Rs 176, respectively.

SBI, Ranbaxy and Grasim have shed over 2% each to Rs 1,081, Rs 374 and Rs 2,498, respectively.

ACC has dropped 1.7% to Rs 990. HDFC Bank, Gujarat Ambuja and BHEL have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 1,000, Rs 129  and Rs 2,285, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's, Tata Motors and Hero Honda are down over 1% each to Rs 721, Rs 850 and Rs 732, respectively.

Out of 2,635 stocks traded so far, 1,515 have declined, 1,037 have advanced and 83 are unchanged.
