Sensex up 28pts in early trades

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 32 points at 12,103. The index touched a high of 12,131, and is now up 28 points at 12,099.

Hindalco and ITC have spurted around 1% each to Rs 170 and Rs 189, respectively.

Ranbaxy, ONGC, Tata Steel and Larsen & Toubro are the other notable gainers.
