Sensex up 28pts; TCS, Dr.Reddy's down 2%

The Sensex is now up 28 points 12,395.

HDFC has surged 4.5% to Rs 1,513. ICICI Bank has rallied 3.5% to Rs 712.

Ranbaxy and HDFC Bank has spurted over 2% each to Rs 430 and Rs 917, respectively. SBI has added 1.8% to Rs 1,017.

Dr.Reddy's, TCS and Maruti have dropped around 2% each to Rs 724, Rs 1,022 and Rs 946, respectively.

Reliance Communications has shed 1.5% to Rs 341. Satyam, ITC and Bharti Airtel are down over 1% each to Rs 822, Rs 184 and Rs 471, respectively.

Out of 2,480 stocks traded so far, 1,250 have advanced, 1,142 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
