The Sensex surged to a high of 13,721. The index is now up 292 points at 13,692.
The Realty index is up 5% at 2,878.
Reliance Infrastructure has surged 7% to Rs 1,036. DLF has rallied 6% to Rs 286.
ICICI Bank has gained 5.5% at Rs 667. BHEL and Tata Steel have added 5% each to Rs 2,062 and Rs 355, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates, Reliance Communications, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, Larsen & Toubro, Sterlite, Hindalco, Grasim and HDFC have moved up 2-3% each.
The market breadth is extremely positive. Out of 2,049 stocks traded, 1,539 have advanced while 461 have declined.
