Sensex up 29pts; L&T, BHEL surge

The Sensex is now up 29 points at 15,594.

Hindustan Unilever has soared 4% to Rs 202. Larsen & Toubro has surged over 3% to Rs 2,553, and BHEL has rallied over 2% to Rs 1,685.

ONGC, Hindalco and Tata Steel have moved up nearly 1.5% each to Rs 899, Rs 185 and Rs 725, respectively.

NTPC and Bharti Airtel are the other prominent gainers.

Cipla has plunged 4% to Rs 193. Infosys has slipped over 2% to Rs 1,944.

Ambuja Cements has dropped 1.8% to Rs 134, and ICICI Bank has shed 1.4% to Rs 971.

Bajaj Auto and TCS are down around 1% each at Rs 2,305 and Rs 1,166, respectively.
