Sensex up 29pts, oil scrips zoom on Mittal deal

The Sensex is holding marginal gains, and is now up 29 points at 14,441.

Reliance Energy has gained nearly 4% (Rs 20) to Rs 558.

L&T is still up 3% at Rs 2,088. BHEL is steady at Rs 1,469 - up 2.7%.

Reliance Communications and Hindalco are up 2% each.

Petroleum scrips are on fire after the cabinet approved a proposal of Lakshmi Mittal to take 49% stake in the Bhatinda refinery planned by HPCL.

Chennai Petroleum has zoomed 19% to Rs 299. HPCL has advanced 4% to Rs 274. IOC, BPCL and Bongaigaon Refinery are also trading with sharp gains.
