Sensex up 29pts, Rel Comm gains 3%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 50 points at 11,498, and immediately zoomed to a high of 11,552. Profit-taking at higher levels saw the index shed gains, and drop to a low of 11,379. Renewed buying at lower levels saw the Sensex close with a gain of 29 points at 11,477.

Reliance Communications zoomed over 3% (Rs 9) to Rs 294.

Dr. Reddy's added 2.6% (Rs 37) to Rs 1,488.

Tata Motors moved up 2.5% (Rs 21) to Rs 837.

Reliance gained nearly 2% (Rs 20) to Rs 1065. HLL was up 1.9% (Rs 4) to Rs 235.

Reliance Energy declined over 3% (Rs 16) to Rs 463. Tata Steel and Hindalco dropped over 2% each to Rs 519 and Rs 165, respectively.

While ONGC slipped 2.3% (Rs 28) to Rs 1,211, SBI was down a per cent at Rs 880.
