Sensex up 29pts, Reliance gains 2%

 Reliance Communications zoomed over 3% (Rs 9) to Rs 294. Dr. Reddy's added 2.6% (Rs 37) to Rs 1,488. Tata Motors moved up 2.5% (Rs 21) to Rs 837.

Reliance gained nearly 2% (Rs 20) to Rs 1065. HLL was also up nearly 2% (Rs 4) to Rs 235.

While BHEL added Rs 23 to Rs 2,268, L&T was up Rs 17 at Rs 2,399.

Infosys was marginally higher (Rs 6) at Rs 1,758. Satyam, Maruti, ACC, Ranbaxy, HDFC Bank, HDFC, ITC and Bharti also finished with gains today.

Reliance Energy declined over 3% (Rs 16) to Rs 463. Tata Steel and Hindalco dropped over 2% each to Rs 519 and Rs 165, respectively.

While ONGC slipped 2.3% (Rs 28) to Rs 1,211, SBI was down a per cent at Rs 880.

Hero Honda dropped 1.8% (Rs 12) to Rs 692. TCS, NTPC and Bajaj Auto also declined.

Volume & Value Toppers

IDFC topped the value chart with a turnover of Rs 259 crore followed by eliance (Rs 242 crore), Reliance Communications (Rs 123 crore), Titan (Rs 79 crore) and Tata Motors (Rs 73 crore).

IDFC also topped the volume chart with trades in over 4.32 crore shares followed by LML (67 lakh), Reliance Communications (42 lakh), Aftek Info (42 lakh) and Ashok Leyland (31 lakh).
