Sensex up 3 pts, Zee soars 6%

The mixed trend in the market continues in late noon trades as the Sensex has rolled back into the green on stock-specific gains. While select pharma and other old economy stocks have remained weak since the early trades, fresh buying has emerged in select auto and other heavyweights.

The Sensex and the Nifty are up three points each at 6,362 and 1,966, respectively.

Zee has vaulted 6.51% (Rs 9) to Rs 151 on strong buying support.

Reliance has clocked a per cent gain (Rs 5) to Rs 546, while ITC has moved up 1.43% (Rs 20) to Rs 1,436. HLL, however, is marginally down at Rs 134.

Maruti has advanced nearly 3% (Rs 12) to Rs 429. Bajaj has rolled back into the green with a per cent gain (Rs 10) at Rs 1,120.

Infosys has extended its gains by Rs 12 to Rs 2,009. Wipro (down Rs 3 to Rs 634) and Satyam (down Rs 2 to Rs 411) continue to trade at subdued levels.

ICICI Bank is up a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 380. SBI (down Rs 3 to Rs 613) and HDFC Bank (down Rs 9 or 1.60% to Rs 538) are still exhibiting weak trends.

Hindalco has gained 1.64% (Rs 20) to Rs 1,221.

ACC has inched up by 1.39% (Rs 5) to Rs 375. While Grasim is up a per cent (Rs 8) at Rs 1,147, Gujarat Ambuja is up Rs 2 at Rs 428.

Ranbaxy has tumbled 3.51% (Rs 35) to Rs 949. Dr. Reddy's has trimmed its losses to Rs 665 - down Rs 6. Cipla, however, is up a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 269.

L&T is still reeling under selling pressure at Rs 1,009 - down Rs 26 or 2.47%. While Tata Power has declined 1.42% (Rs 5) to Rs 355, Tisco is down a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 351.
