Sensex up 302pts; Wipro, ONGC surge 4%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 193 points at 18,346, and soon touched a high of 18,467. The index is now up 302 points at 18,455.

The NSE Nifty is up 109 points at 5,383.

Wipro and ONGC have soared nearly 4% each to Rs 422 and Rs 1,038, respectively.

Infosys and ITC have rallied 3.5% each to Rs 1,497 and Rs 203, respectively.

Reliance Energy, DLF and Cipla have surged 3% each to Rs 2,161, Rs 919 and Rs 190, respectively.

Grasim, NTPC and TCS have moved up around 2.5% each to Rs 3,025, Rs 218 and Rs 876, respectively.
