Sensex up 30pts; ACC, Tata Motors surge

The Sensex is now up 30 points at 13,875.

Tata Motors and ACC have soared over 4% each to Rs 879 and Rs 1,177, respectively.

Reliance Energy has rallied 3.3% to Rs 558. NTPC has added 2.5% to Rs 152.

BHEL and Larsen & Toubro have moved up around 2% each to Rs 2,577 and Rs 1,405, respectively.

Maruti has gained 1.5% at Rs 966. Ranbaxy, Gujarat Ambuja and Grasim are up over 1% each at Rs 388, Rs 145 and Rs 2,790, respectively.

Satyam has slipped 2.3% to Rs 456. Wipro and HDFC Bank have shed 1.7% each to Rs 590 and Rs 1,102, respectively.

Hero Honda is down over 1% at Rs 761.

Out of 2,553 stocks traded so far, 1,541 have advanced, 950 have declined and 62 are unchanged.
