Sensex up 30pts at 10,198

The Sensex is up 30 points at 10,198.

Cipla has gained 2.6% at Rs 557. Larsen & Toubro and Grasim has surged nearly 2% each to Rs 2,381 and Rs 1,685, respectively.

NPTC, HLL, Tata Steel, Tata Power, Hindalco, Ranbaxy and ONGC are the other porminent gainers among the Sensex stocks.

Dr.Reddy's has shed 1.8% to Rs 1,364, and Bajaj Auto is down 1% at Rs 2,548.

The market breadth continues to remain negative. Out of 2,426 stocks traded so far 1,436 have declined, 931 have advanced and 59 are unchanged.
