Sensex up 30pts at 12,492

The Sensex is now up 30 points at 12,492.

ONGC has soared over 4% to Rs 1,437.

Tata Steel surged 2.6% to Rs 661. Tata Motors and Maruti have zoomed over 2% each to Rs 986 and Rs 961, respectively.

SBI has advanced 2% to Rs 976. Larsen & Toubro has rallied 1.5% to Rs 2,764.

Dr.Reddy's has dropped 2.3% to Rs 1,644. HDFC Bank has declined nearly 2% to Rs 853, and Bharti Tele is down 1.4% at Rs 416.

Out of 2,602 stocks traded so far, 1,517 have advanced, 1,030 have declined and 55 are unchanged.
