Sensex up 30pts; market breadth narrows down

The Sensex is now up 30 points at 10,883.

Infosys has surged 2.8% to Rs 3,050. Satyam, Wipro and TCS are up over 1% each at Rs 714, Rs 476 and Rs 1,870, respectively.

Cipla has gained 2.3% at Rs 242. Tata Power and Reliance added 1% each to Rs 512 and Rs 966, respectively.

SBI and Tata Motors have dropped 2.5% each to Rs 861 and Rs 805, respectively.

Tata Steel, Gujarat Ambuja, ACC, Hero Honda, Maruti, HDFC Bank, Reliance Energy and ONGC are down 1-2% each.

The market breadth has narrowed down - out of 2,494 stocks traded so far, 1,250 have advanced, 1,174 have declined and 70 are unchanged.
