Sensex up 310pts; Grasim drops 2%

The Sensex is now up 310 points at 13,255.

BHEL has zoomed 5.8% to Rs 2,224. Maruti and ONGC have soared over 4.5% each to Rs 829 and Rs 850, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and SBI have surged over 4% each to Rs 1,566 and Rs 1,021, respectively. ICICI Bank has gained 3.6% at Rs 902.

HDFC Bank, HLL and Hero Honda have advanced over 3% each to Rs 998, Rs 197 and Rs 670, respectively.

ITC, Tata Motors, TCS, Bajaj Auto and Reliance are the other major gainers.

Grasim has shed nearly 2% to Rs 2,068.

Out of 2,520 stocks traded so far, 1,625 have advanced, 813 have declined and 82 are unchanged.
