Sensex up 310pts; HDFC surges 3%

The Sensex has moved back to higher levels and is now up 310 points at 19,249.

HDFC Bank has zoomed 4.6% to Rs 1,682, and ICICI Bank has soared 3.2% to Rs 1,163.

HDFC has surged 2.8% to Rs 2,785. Wipro, ITC and Maruti have rallied 2.6% each to Rs 461, Rs 192 and Rs 992, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has advancd 2.3% to Rs 726. Tata Motors, Infosys, SBI and Hindalco have gained around 2% each at Rs 735, Rs 1,600, Rs 2,296 and Rs 188, respectivley.
