Sensex up 316pts; SBI surges 4%

The Sensex is now up 316 points at 19,087.

Tata Steel has zoomed 4.4% to Rs 1,032. SBI has soared 3.7% to Rs 2,016.

Satyam, Reliance Energy, Reliance Communications and Larsen & Toubro have surged around 2.5% each to Rs 472, Rs 1,691, Rs 769 and Rs 3,540, respectively.

ACC, Reliance, ITC and HDFC have rallied around 2% each to Rs 1,085, Rs 2,683, Rs 186 and Rs 2,573, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's has slipped over 1% to Rs 607.
