Sensex up 31pts; HDFC Bank drops 3%

The Sensex is now up 31 points at 12,915.

HLL has moved up 1.6% to Rs 235. SBI, Hindalco, Ranbaxy, ICICI Bank, ITC, Infosys and Hero Honda have advanced over 1% each.

HDFC Bank has shed 2.8% to Rs 981, and HDFC has slipped 2% to Rs 1,477.

BHEL is down 1% at Rs 2,437.

Out of 2,179 stocks traded so far, 1,153 have advanced, 946 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
