Sensex up 31pts; ITC down 2%

The Sensex slipped into red for brief while and is now up 31 points at 19,827.

Bharti Airtel has zoomed 4.5% to Rs 982. Infosys has soared 3.3% to Rs 1,690.

DLF has surged 3% to Rs 1,000, and HDFC has rallied 2.7% to Rs 2,890.

HDFC Bank and Ranbaxy have advanced around 1.5% each at Rs 1,713 and Rs 404, respectively.

Reliance Communications has moved up 1.3% to Rs 728.

ITC has shed 2% at Rs 189. NTPC and Tata Steel have dropped 1.7% each to Rs 241 and Rs 833, respectively.

Reliance, Reliance Energy and Ambuja Cements have slipped 1.6% each to Rs 2,829, Rs 1,915 and Rs 151, respectively.

ACC and BHEL are down 1.3% each at Rs 1,068 and Rs 2,748, respectively.

Out of 2,855 stocks traded so far, 1,454 have advanced, 1,364 have declined and 37 are unchanged.
