Sensex up 31pts, Ranbaxy up 1.5%

The Sensex is holding gains, and is now up 31 points at 13,456.

SBI and ICICI Bank continue to hold 2% gains at Rs 1,152 and Rs 875, respectively.

Ranbaxy has moved up 1.5% (Rs 6) to Rs 407. Bharti is still up 1.6% (Rs 9) at Rs 579. Wipro is still up over 1% at Rs 551. Grasim is now up Rs 23 at Rs 2,697.

MTNL has zoomd over 7% to Rs 143. Jet has gained 4% to Rs 658. Bombay Dyeing, Hindustan Zinc and IOB are trading with gains.

Advances have started moving up, but are still below declines - out of 2,478 scrips traded, 1,375 are down and 1,028 have moved up.
