Sensex up 325pts; Tata Steel soars 9%

The Sensex is now up 325 points at 9870.

Tata Steel has surged 9% to Rs 451. Satyam and TCS have gained 8% each at Rs 666 and Rs 1,677, respectively.

Grasim has shed nearly 4% to Rs 1,745. ONGC has dropped 2.5% to Rs 1,006.

HDFC and SBI have declined nearly 2% each to Rs 1,045 and Rs 759, respectively.

ACC and Gujarat Ambuja are down over 1% each at Rs 728 and Rs 90.55, respectively.

Out of 2,463 stocks traded so far, 1,909 have advanced, 507 have declined and 47 are unchanged.
