Sensex up 327pts; tech stocks firm

The Sensex is now up 327 points at 16,135.

The NSE Nifty is up 93 points at 4,871.

Ranbaxy has zoomed 10.6% to Rs 491.

TCS has soared 7.5% to Rs 979. Infosys has surged 6.3% to Rs 1,513, and Wipro has rallied over 5% to Rs 427. Satyam has added nearly 4% to Rs 450.

Reliance Communications has gained 4.5% at Rs 515. Hindustan Unilever has moved up 3.8% to Rs 244.

ICICI Bank and DLF have advanced around 3% each to Rs 812 and Rs 617, respectively. Reliance is up 2.7% at Rs 2,618.

HDFC has slipped over 2% to Rs 2,331. HDFC Bank has shed 1.7% at Rs 1,306.

Hindalco and Ambuja Cements are down over 1% each to Rs 174 and Rs 116, respectively.

Out of 2,632 stocks traded, 1,707 have advanced, 856 have declined and 69 are unchanged.
