Sensex up 328pts; Wipro, Bharti slip

The Sensex is now up 328 points at 17,058.

The NSE Nifty is up 113 points at 5,012.

Bajaj Auto has zoomed 5.7% to Rs 2,180, and Grasim has soared 5.3% to Rs 3,010.

SBI and HDFC have rallied nearly 5% each to Rs 2,265 and Rs 2,600, respectively.

NTPC has surged 4.5% to Rs 206. Ranbaxy has advanced 4% to Rs 354, and TCS has added 3.5% to Rs 828.

BHEL, Tata Steel, Reliance Communications and Satyam have rallied 3% each to Rs 2,050, Rs 691, Rs 592 and Rs 365, respectively.

Reliance and DLF have gained 2.5% each at Rs 2,418 and Rs 888, respectively.

Wipro and Ambuja Cements have shed 2.5% each at Rs 418 and Rs 113, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has slipped 1.7% to Rs 835.
