Sensex up 32pts; ACC soars 9%

The Sensex is now up 32 points at 14,838.

ACC has soared nearly 9% to Rs 1,020. Ambuja Cements has surged 4.5% to Rs 130. Grasim has moved up 1.6% to Rs 2,746.

Tata Motors and Cipla have rallied around 2% each to Rs 703 and Rs 218, respectively.

Tata Steel, Maruti, Reliance, Reliance Communicatons and ITC are up around 1% each at Rs 608, Rs 793, Rs 1,724, Rs 542 and Rs 158, respectively.

ONGC has shed 1.7% to Rs 873. Hindalco and Wipro have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 155 and Rs 507, respectively. SBI is down 1% at Rs 1,567.

Out of 2,629 stocks traded so far, 1,372 have declined, 1,180 have advanced and 77 are unchanged.
