Sensex up 32pts; Bharti, HDFC Bank down 2%

The Sensex is now up 32 points at 15,822.

The NSE Nifty is up 23 points at 4,770.

Reliance Energy has soared 5.3% to Rs 1,240. TCS has surged 3.3% to Rs 905, and Mahindra & Mahindra has rallied 2.3% to Rs 622.

Hindalco and Ambuja Cements have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 176 and Rs 122, respectively.

Reliance and Satyam have advanced nearly 1.5% each to Rs 2,452 and Rs 433, respectively.

Tata Motors, ACC and Wipro are up around 1% each at Rs 637, Rs 828 and Rs 416, respectively.

Jaiprakash Assocaites has shed 2.5% at Rs 214. HDFC Bank and Bharti Airtel have dropped 2% each to Rs 1,348 and Rs 804, respectively.

ICICI Bank has slipped 1.5% to Rs 824. NTPC and Ranbaxy are down over 1% each at Rs 185 and Rs 465, respectively.

Out of 2,515 stocks traded so far, 1,743 have advanced, 687 have declined and 85 are unchanged.
