Sensex up 32pts; cement stocks flare up

The Sensex is now up 32 points at 13,876.

Cement stocks are witnessing fresh buying. ACC has flared up over 4% (Rs 49) to Rs 1,181. Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja are up over 1% each to Rs 2,795 and Rs 145, respectively.

Tata Motors has rallied 4.5% to Rs 880.  Reliance Energy has surged 3.5% to Rs 559.

Larsen & Toubro has advanced over 2% to Rs 1,410. Maruti has gained 1.7% at Rs 968.

Grasim, Gujarat Ambuja and Ranbaxy are up over 1% each at Rs 2,795, Rs 145 and Rs 388, respectively.

Satyam has shed 2.7% to Rs 454. Wipro, HDFC Bank and Hero Honda have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 591, Rs 1,104 and Rs 761, respectively.

Out of 2,444 stocks traded so far, 1,498 have advanced, 886 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
