Sensex up 32pts, Tata Steel surges 4%

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 32 points at 10,514.

Grasim is firm with a gain of over 5% at Rs 1,850. Tata Steel has surged 3.7% to Rs 491.

NTPC and Reliance Energy have rallied 3% each to Rs 115 and Rs 532, respectively. Tata Power has spurted over 2% to Rs 521.

Wipro, Gujarat Ambuja, BHEL, Satyam and Tata Motors are up 1-2% each.

Hero Honda has dropped 5.5% to Rs 771, and Bajaj Auto has slipped 4.6% to Rs 749.

HDFC Bank has declined 4.8% to Rs 749. Cipla has tumbled 3.5% to Rs 218.

HLL and ONGC have plunged 3% each to Rs 231 and Rs 1,182, respectively. TCS has shed 2.5% to Rs 1,739.

Larsen & Toubro has dropped 2% to Rs 2,284. HDFC and Ranbaxy are down nearly 1% each at Rs 1,200 and Rs 428,, respectively.

Out of 2,334 stocks traded so far, 1,399 have declined, 893 have advanced and 42 are unchanged.
