Sensex up 338pts; Hindalco down 3%

The Sensex is now up 338 points at 12,753.

Wipro and Infosys have soared around 6.5% each to Rs 573 and Rs 2,135, respectively. Satyam has flared up 6% to Rs 439, and TCS has rallied 5% to Rs 1,219.

ICICI Bank and ACC have moved up 3.5% each to Rs 850 and Rs 842, respectively. Bharti Airtel and Reliance have advanced around 3% each to Rs 713 and Rs 1,295, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and SBI have gained around 2.5% each at Rs 1,421 and Rs 987, respectively.

Hindalco has dropped 3% to Rs 130. Hero Honda and NTPC have shed 2% each to Rs 672 and Rs 134, respectively.

Out of 2,548 stocks traded so far, 1,452 have declined, 1,049 have advanced and 47 are unchanged.
