Sensex up 339pts; Tata Motors zooms 6%

The Sensex is now up 339 points at 10,346.

Tata Motors has zoomed 6% to Rs 697. HDFC Bank and BHEL have surged 6% each to Rs 734 and Rs 1,845, respectively.

Reliance Communications and ICICI Bank have rallied over 4.5% each to Rs 249 and Rs 488, respectively.

ACC, Bajaj Auto, Bharti Airtel and Hindalco have advanced over 4% each to Rs 813, Rs 2,492, Rs 368 and Rs 162, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Satyam, Gujarat Ambuja, Grasim and Wipro are the other major gainers among the index stocks.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 1,931 stocks traded so far, 1,192 have advanced, 667 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
