Sensex up 347pts, Reliance tops value chart

The Sensex is now up 347 points at 11,014.

After opening with a positive gap of 69 points at 10,735, the index has continued to surge ahead. The index touched a high of 11,051.

All 30 Sensex stocks are trading with gains.

Out of 2,247 stocks traded so far, 1,833 have advanced, 375  have declined and 39 are unchanged.

Reliance tops the value chart with a turnover of Rs 75.83 crore followed by Tata Steel (Rs 59.09 crore), Larsen & Toubro (Rs 32.78 crore), Mahindra Gesco (Rs 32.57 crore) and ACC (Rs 26.55 crore).

SAIL leads the volume chart with trades of around 25.35 lakh shares followed by Reliance Petro (18.64 lakh), IFCI (16.72 lakh), G V Films (15.20) and Assam Company (13.18 lakh).
