Sensex up 34pts; ITC sheds 2%

The Sensex is now up 34 at 14,530.

BHEL has surged 1.6% to Rs 1,393. SBI, ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 1,426, Rs 946 and Rs 838, respectively.

Wipro, Tata Steel, Infosys and Reliance Energy have advanced over 1% each to Rs 540, Rs 644, Rs 1,937 and Rs 547, respectively.

ITC has dropped almost 2% to Rs 162. Larsen & Toubro has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,941, and Gujarat Ambuja is down 1% at Rs 113.

The market breadth is neutral - out of 2,518 stocks traded so far, 1,224 have advanced, 1,213 have declined and 81 are unchanged.
