Sensex up 34pts; NTPC slips 1%

The Sensex is now up 34 points at 15,577.

Bajaj Auto has rallied 2% to Rs 2,380. Reliance Energy has advanced over 1% to Rs 870.

NTPC has slipped 1.4% to Rs 193. Satyam, TCS, Ranbaxy and ICICI Bank are the other notable losers.

Out of 2,585 stocks traded so far, 1,621 have advanced, 905 have declined and 59 are unchanged.
