Sensex up 357pts; HDFC, Infosys soar 4%

The Sensex is now up 357 points at 18,883.

Reliance Energy and DLF have zoomed around 5% each to Rs 1,690 and Rs 863, respectively.

HDFC and Infosys have soared 4% each to Rs 2,665 and Rs 1,591, respectively.

Tata Motors has rallied 3.5% to Rs 717. Larsen & Toubro and NTPC have surged 3.3% each to Rs 4,074 and Rs 235,  respectively.

Hindalco has gained 2.8% at Rs 192. ONGC, Bajaj Auto and BHEL are up over 2% each at Rs 1,177, Rs 2,529 and Rs 2,540, respectively.

HDFC Bank has slipped 1.3% to Rs 1,574.

Out of 2,626 stocks traded so far, 1,863 have advanced, 726 have declined and 37 are unchanged.
