Sensex up 35pts; HDFC down 1%

The Sensex is now up 35 points at 12,107.

Satyam has advanced 2.2% to Rs 842. Reliance Communications has added 2% to Rs 333.

TCS, Hindalco and Dr.Reddy's have gained 1.7% each at Rs 1,014, Rs 171 and Rs 767, respectively. Ranbaxy has added 1.5% to Rs 424.

Tata Steel is up over 1% at Rs 504.

HDFC has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,350.

Out of 2,403 stocks traded so far, 1,223 have advanced, 1,089 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
