Sensex up 35pts; HLL, Hindalco drop 2%

The Sensex is now up 35 points at 13,434.

Infosys has surged 2.7% (Rs 57) to Rs 2,218. TCS has rallied 2.5% to Rs 1,101.

Ranbaxy has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 405. ICICI Bank and Satyam have gained 1.3% each at Rs 851 and Rs 431, respectively.

ONGC, Larsen & Toubro and Bharti Airtel are up 1% each at Rs 881, Rs 1,350 and Rs 571, respectively.

HLL and Hindalco have slipped over 2% each to Rs 247 and Rs 178, respectively. NTPC has shed 1.8% to Rs 136.

Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja are around 1.5% each to Rs 2,671 and Rs 135, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, BHEL and ACC are down 1% each at Rs 2,569, Rs 492, Rs 2,455 and Rs 1,010, respectively.

Out of 2,548 stocks traded so far, 1,502 have declined, 975 have advanced and 71 are unchanged.
