Sensex up 35pts; ITC slips 2%

The Sensex opened at 14,071, and then slipped into red to touch a low of 13,968.

The index is now up 35 points at 14,056.

ITC has shed 1.7% to Rs 171. Cipla and Dr.Reddy's have slipped 1.5% each to Rs 245 and Rs 701, respectively.

SBI, Hero Honda and ICICI Bank are down around 1% each to Rs 1,067, Rs 709 and Rs 940, respectively.

Maruti and ONGC are the notable gainers.
