Sensex up 35pts; Tata Motors zooms 3.5%

The Sensex touched a high of 10,690, and is now up 35 points at 10,662.

Tata Motors has zoomed 3.5% to Rs 893. ACC has spurted 1.6% to Rs 684.

Bajaj Auto has perked up 1.4% to Rs 2,761, and Bharti has added 1.3% to Rs 402.

Ranbaxy, Hero Honda, BHEL and Dr.Reddy's are the other notable gainers among the Sensex stocks.

TCS and HDFC have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,722 and Rs 1,343, respectively.

The market breadths is fairly positive. Out of 1,817 stocks traded os far, 1,002 have advanced, 751 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
