Sensex up 36pts at 10,915

The Sensex has pared gains once again, and is now up 36 points at 10,915.

ONGC has rallied 3% to Rs 1,227. Hindalco has added 2.4% to Rs 160.

TCS, ITC and Tata Motors have moved up over 2% each to Rs 1,868, Rs 177 and Rs 938, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Gujarat Ambuja have slipped over 1% each to Rs 758 and Rs 98.10, respectively.

Out of 2,577 stocks traded so far, 1,687 have declined, 813 have advanced and 77 are unchanged.

JJ Exporter has zoomed nearly 20% to Rs 94. Shyam Telecom, Marico, Hindustan Sanitary, Saksoft, Zee, MphasiS BFL and GTL are the other major gainers.

VisualSoft has plunged over 11% to Rs 144. Indotech, Sree Sakthi, Punjab Alkalies, Nitin Spinners, Sunil Hitech, Indo Rama, Proctor & Gamble, Nicholas Piramal, Asahi India and Alstom Projects are the other prominent losers.
