Sensex up 36pts; Hero Honda drops 2%

The Sensex is now up 36 points at 12,823.

Tata Steel has soared 5.7% to Rs 463. Reliance Energy has surged over 2% to Rs 498.

Hindalco and HLL have gained 1.7% each at Rs 133 and Rs 201, respectively.

Grasim, ACC and HDFC have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 2,092, Rs 724 and Rs 1,517, respectively.

Tata Motors, Gujarat Ambuja and Maruti are up around 1% each at Rs 690, Rs 106 and Rs 753, respectively.

Hero Honda has shed nearly 2% to Rs 632. NTPC and Dr.Reddy's are down 1% each at Rs 159 and Rs 738, respectively.

Out of 2,318 stocks traded so far, 1,455 have advanced, 783 have declined and 80 are unchanged.
