Sensex up 372pts; breadth marginally +ve

The Sensex is now up 372 points at 15,715.

The NSE Nifty is up 114 points at 4,761.

TCS and Wipro have soared 4.7% each to Rs 912 and Rs 435, respectively. Satyam has gained 3.4% at Rs 440, and Infosys has added 2.5% to Rs 1,520.

ITC has surged 4.6% to Rs 210. Bharti Airtel, Ranbaxy and ICICI Bank have rallied around 4% each to Rs 816, Rs 476 and Rs 794, respectively.

ONGC and Reliance have moved up 3% each to Rs 1,036 and Rs 2,392, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever, Mahindra & Mahindra and Jaiprakash Associates have gained around 2.5% each at Rs 248, Rs 620 and Rs 227, respectively.

SBI, DLF, NTPC and Tata Motors are up around 2% each at Rs 1,637, Rs 619, Rs 193 and Rs 625, respectively.

Maruti has slipped 2.3% to Rs 747. Reliance Energy has shed 1.6% at Rs 1,148.

BHEL and Ambuja Cements are down over 1% at Rs 1,613 and Rs 118, respectively.

The market breadth is marginally positive - out of 2,311 stocks traded so far, 1,160 have advanced, 1,091 have declined and 60 are unchanged.
