The NSE Nifty is up 104 points at 5,194.
Satyam has zoomed over 7% to Rs 475. DLF has soared 6.7% to Rs 714, and Hindalco has surged 5.3% to Rs 196.
HDFC has rallied 4.7% to Rs 2,848. Jaiprakash Associates, Infosys and Wipro have moved up around 4% each to Rs 262, Rs 1,733 and Rs 476, respectively.
TCS has advanced 3.3% to Rs 912. SBI, Reliance and Larsen & Toubro have moved up over 2.5% each to Rs 1,782, Rs 2,666 and Rs 3,018, respectively.
Tata Steel and Grasim are up over 2% each at Rs 795 and Rs 2,690, respectively.
Bharti Airtel has shed 2.5% at Rs 904, and Reliance Communications (RCom) has slipped 1.4% to Rs 577.
Out of 2,651 stocks traded so far, 1,516 have advanced, 1,072 have declined and 63 are unchanged.
