Sensex up 375pts; ICICI Bank surges 5%

The Sensex is now up 375 points at 15,732.

The NSE Nifty is up 119 points at 4,742.

DLF and Jaiprakash (JP) Associates have zoomed nearly 8% each to Rs 236 and Rs 654, respectively.

ICICI Bank has soared 5% to Rs 881. NTPC, Satyam and Hindalco have surged around 4.5% each to Rs 195, Rs 380 and Rs 181, respectively.

ITC has gained 3.5% at Rs 192. Reliance, Reliance Communications and Larsen & Toubro have rallied over 3% each to Rs 2,314, Rs 518 and Rs 2,892, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has plunged 3% to Rs 755. Maruti and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 828 and Rs 651, respectively.

Out of 2,711 stocks traded so far, 1,558 have declined, 1,091 have advanced and 62 are unchanged.
