Sensex up 375pts; Infosys, Reliance lead

The Sensex is now up 375 points at 17,704.

Infosys has zoomed 5.5% to Rs 1,995. Reliance has soared 4.6% to Rs 2,395.

NTPC has surged 4% to Rs 214. Reliance Communications and TCS have rallied over 3.5% each to Rs 634 and Rs 1,075, respectively.

HDFC has advanced 2.8% to Rs 2,578, and BHEL has added 2.5% to Rs 2,040.

ONGC, Wipro, Larsen & Toubro, Satyam, ICICI Bank and Bajaj Auto are up over 2% each at Rs 1,020, Rs 464, Rs 2,876, Rs 452, Rs 1,080 and Rs 2,534, respectively.

Cipla has dropped 2% to Rs 185. Ambuja Cements and Ranbaxy have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 145 and Rs 434, respectively.

SBI is down over 1% at Rs 1,871.

Out of 2,814 stocks traded so far, 1,805 have declined, 947 have advanced and 82 are unchanged.
