Jaiprakash Associates and HDFC have rallied 5.3% each to Rs 265 and Rs 2,865, respectively.
Tata Steel, Wipro and Infosys have moved up around 4.7% each to Rs 815, Rs 479 and Rs 1,742, respectively.
TCS has gained 4% at Rs 918. SBI has advanced 3.3% to Rs 1,795.
Reliance and Larsen & Toubro are up over 2.5% each at Rs 2,664 and Rs 3,020, respectively.
Grasim has plunged 7% to Rs 2,450.
Bharti Airtel has shed 2.5% at Rs 904, and Reliance Communications has slipped over 1% to Rs 578.
