Sensex up 37pts; HDFC Bank drops 3%

The Sensex is now up 37 points at 12,921.

Hero Honda has advanced 3.7% to Rs 680, and Larsen & Toubro has added 3.3% to Rs 1,619, respectively.

HLL and TCS have surged nearly 3% each to Rs 203 and Rs 1,234, respectively.

Satyam, Maruti and Ranbaxy have gained around 2% each at Rs 466, Rs 815 and Rs 345, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's and HDFC are up over 1% each at Rs 703 and Rs 1,535, respectively.

HDFC Bank has shed 2.7% to Rs 930. Tata Motors has dropped 1.8% to Rs 706, and Bajaj Auto has slipped 1.5% to Rs 2,428.

Tata Steel, SBI, ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel are down around 1% each at Rs 436, Rs 964, Rs 849 and Rs 750, respectively.

Out of 2,484 stocks traded so far, 1,423 have advanced, 991 have declined and 70 are unchanged.
