Sensex up 37pts; Rel Comm, Satyam shine

The Sensex is now up 37 points at 12,109.

Hindalco, Reliance Communications and Satyam have advanced 2% each to Rs 172, Rs 333 and Rs 839, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's and Ranbaxy have moved up over 1.5% each to Rs 768 and Rs 424, respectively. Tata Steel has added 1.3% to Rs 505.

HDFC has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,350.

Out of 2,260 stocks traded so far, 1,169 have advanced, 1,013 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
